Part one

Win the customer

Pipeline, quotes, storefront and support — all pointing at the same customer record.

CRM Core

Leads · opportunities · contacts · activities

  • Leads and contacts with a shared activity timeline
  • Opportunities on a staged pipeline, with an explicit close-lost reason
  • Stage names you configure — an unrecognised stage is rejected, never silently coerced
  • Global search fans out across leads, opportunities and contacts

Sales CRM Optional

Quotes · orders · invoices · support

  • Quotations with per-line discount percentages flowing into line totals
  • Sales orders, delivery orders and invoices sharing the same product catalogue
  • Customer price lists and discount rules applied at quotation time
  • Support tickets with comments and a visible timeline of events

B2B/B2C Marketplace Optional

Public catalog · facets · merchandising

  • Faceted search across brand, category and price, built from live catalogue data
  • A bare landing view adds department, best-seller and new-arrival rails above the grid
  • Best sellers ranked from real order snapshots, not editorial guesses
  • Each merchandising rail degrades gracefully, so a failure never blanks the page

Sales — E-Commerce Optional

Cart · checkout · payments · tracking

  • Carts, coupons, orders, refunds, wishlists and moderated product reviews
  • Guest checkout via a signed ec_session cookie; the cart merges on sign-in
  • Four payment gateways with a per-tenant encrypted configuration
  • Public order tracking by tracking number, scoped so no order is readable by another

ERP Products Optional

The product master · everything depends on it

  • SKUs, variants, categories, units of measure and reorder points
  • Storefront content — images, bullet points, specifications — stored on the product
  • Duplicate and blank SKUs are preserved exactly as imported rather than silently rewritten
  • Products stay the single source of truth for the ERP and the storefront alike

Partners Core

Customers & vendors

  • One customer and vendor directory for the whole platform
  • Quik-view modals open from any grid without leaving the page
  • Referenced by sales, procurement and finance instead of duplicated per module

Part two

Buy, make and hold the product

Requisition to receipt, bill of material to finished goods, and the stock truth underneath both.

Procurement Management Optional

Requisitions · RFQs · POs · invoices

  • Purchase requisitions raised internally, then converted to orders
  • Requests for quotation to multiple vendors, with side-by-side quote comparison
  • Vendor self-registration and a vendor portal for suppliers to submit their own quotes
  • Three-way match between purchase order, goods receipt and vendor invoice

Inventory Management Optional

Stock · lots · serials · valuation

  • On-hand quantities aggregated per product across every warehouse
  • Lot and serial tracking, cost layers and stock-movement history
  • Inter-warehouse transfer orders and controlled stock adjustments
  • Reorder rules with min/max/reorder quantities and a preferred vendor, plus a check that reports how many items sit below threshold

Warehouse Management Optional

Locations · zones · racks · picklists

  • Storage locations organised into zones and racks down to the bin
  • Picklists with lines, generated from real demand and picked against actual stock
  • Location-level stock visibility feeding the inventory totals

Manufacturing Management Optional

BOM · production orders · work orders

  • Multi-level bills of material with component quantities and a master-detail editor
  • Production orders with a real lifecycle: approve → start → complete, capturing produced quantity and end date
  • Work centres, work orders and their status transitions
  • Demand forecasting to inform what to plan next

Quality Management Optional

Inspections · results · non-conformance

  • Quality inspections raised against goods, batches or production output
  • Recorded inspection results with pass and fail outcomes
  • Non-conformance reports to document a failure and track the follow-up

Print Labels Optional

Templates · batch generation · certificates

  • Reusable label templates shared across products
  • Batch generation per product or order, printed straight from the browser
  • Product certificates maintained alongside the catalogue

Part three

Move it and deliver it

Getting physical goods to the customer, and tracking the work that is not a physical good.

Logistics Management Optional

Shipments · routes · fleet

  • Shipments with their line items and dispatch status
  • Delivery orders, delivery routes and transport routes, plus load planning
  • Vehicles with fleet-maintenance history
  • Proof-of-delivery capture to close the loop on a delivery

Project Management Optional

Tasks · milestones · timesheets

  • Projects containing tasks grouped under milestones
  • Timesheets recorded against work, and resourcing across projects
  • Kanban and Gantt views over the same underlying data

Part four

Run the business

The books, the people, the org chart, the approvals and the reporting.

Finance & Accounting Core

Ledger · AR/AP · assets · reporting

  • Chart of accounts, journal entries and lines, with open-period validation on posting
  • General ledger balances, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statement
  • Budgets by fiscal year and account, receivables, payables and credit checks
  • Fixed assets with a monthly depreciation run that posts real journal entries to the ledger
  • Bank statements with reconciliation, cost centres, tax rules and multi-currency with exchange rates

Human Resources Optional

People · payroll · leave · reviews

  • Employee records with department assignments, skills and certifications
  • Leave types and leave requests, plus attendance records
  • Payroll cycles with per-employee entries and generated payslips
  • Performance reviews, KPIs and staff-performance data for analysis

Organization Structure Optional

Divisions · departments · positions

  • Divisions, departments and positions in an explorable org chart
  • Self-parenting and ancestor cycles are rejected on update rather than corrupting the tree

Workflow Engine Core

Approvals · delegation · escalation

  • Multi-step definitions with named steps and a shared task inbox for approvers
  • Delegation resolves against the approver recorded at task creation
  • Rejection short-circuits the instance instead of advancing downstream automations
  • Overdue escalation reassigns to a department-director role and always notifies

Report Builder Optional

Designer · definitions · exports

  • Visual designer for report definitions: columns, filters, sorting, parameters
  • Execution logging and report sharing between users

Part five

The platform underneath

Identity, tenancy, communication, documents and AI — the parts every other module depends on.

Identity Core

Accounts, roles and granular permissions, two-factor authentication, password reset and self-service account management.

Tenants Core

Company registration with a 30-day trial, per-tenant module subscriptions, invitations, tenant switching and host-level impersonation.

Communications Core

SMTP email with a delivery log, real-time in-app chat over SignalR, record comments, and HMAC-signed outbound webhooks.

Notifications Core

Reusable email templates, a delivery queue and a searchable log of everything sent, so support can prove what a customer received.

Documents Core

Google Drive as the system of record for business files — browse, upload and attach without leaving the application.

AI Business Intelligence Optional

Market-trend analysis, patent checking and review, supplier discovery, staff-performance evaluation and user-behaviour analytics.

Help Core

An AI help centre that ingests your own documentation, chunks it by heading structure and answers questions against on-device vector embeddings.

Smart PDF Processor Optional

Text extraction from PDFs plus OCR for scanned documents, turning paper and PDF into searchable, structured data.

Settings Core

System configuration, admin-gated menu curation, six UI themes, import templates and searchable exception logs.

Navigation History Core

Per-user recently visited pages, synchronised from the browser, with de-duplication and a session clear.

Database Backup Core

Scheduled SQL Server backups uploaded to Google Drive, with a guided restore that handles single-user mode and recovery for you.

Architectural Deep Dive

The commerce path, end to end

This is the flow a buyer walks, and each step is handled by code that enforces the same rules as the ERP — because it is the same code.

Most platforms split storefronts and ERP into separate, decoupled applications connected by fragile cron jobs, webhooks, and eventual consistency. When traffic spikes, stock counts drift, overselling happens, and back-office operators spend hours reconciling orders. In ModApp, the web storefront is a direct projection of the core domain: the exact same MediatR commands, SQL Server transactions, and business rules govern both the buyer checkout and the warehouse shipping floor.

Discovery

Storefront Discovery & Theming

The buyer visits /{tenantCode}/store. ModApp extracts the tenant boundary from the route prefix, loading the catalog via GetStorefrontCatalogQuery.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Dynamic theme injection (ITenantThemeService) applies tenant branding, logos, and accent colors with physical database query filtering.

Cart Security

Guest Identity & Scoped Cart

No registration wall required. Anonymous shoppers receive a signed ec_session cookie. Items added trigger AddToCartCommand to persist the basket.

ERP Rule Enforced:

IShoppingCartIdentity guarantees carts are strictly owner-scoped by Session ID or Customer ID. No shopper can read or manipulate another's cart.

Conversion

Sign-In & Cart Merging

When a guest logs in or signs up during checkout, ModApp triggers MergeStorefrontCartCommand to transfer transient guest lines into their permanent customer cart.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Merges duplicate SKU quantities, applies existing member discount tiers, and safely retires the transient guest session cookie without losing basket history.

Pricing & Tax

Server-Side Price Calculation

The checkout form never trusts client prices. Subtotals, active coupon codes, and shipping rates re-calculate server-side using GetTaxRatesQuery and active carrier tables.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Tax engine matches country/state tax codes; coupons enforce expiration and usage counts; zero client-side price payload vulnerability.

Inventory

Live Stock Check & Reservation

Before payment processing, GetStockSummariesAsync evaluates real stock across warehouse bins. ReserveStockBatchAsync reserves SKUs atomically.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Batch SKU ledger locking prevents overselling during checkout spikes. If any item is unavailable, checkout halts cleanly and the cart remains intact.

Payments

Payment Intent & Failover

Payment intent is authorized before creating the sales order. ModApp supports Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, and simulated gateways with automated failover via IPaymentGatewayResolver.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Zero card data stored (PCI compliant). Payment decline triggers atomic rollback: no orphan sales order is generated, and the shopper's cart is preserved.

Sales Order

Atomic Order Dispatch

Checkout dispatches CreateSalesOrderContractCommand directly into Modules.Sales, auto-resolving customer identity in Modules.Partners.

ERP Rule Enforced:

B2B on-account purchases run fail-closed credit checks via ICreditCheckService. Order enters the exact same table as manual back-office orders.

Fulfillment

Fulfillment, Ledger & Tracking

The sales order emits domain events via the transactional outbox to trigger warehouse picking, logistics carrier allocation, and General Ledger journal entries.

ERP Rule Enforced:

Generates real-time tracking at /{tenantCode}/orders/{tracking}. Live milestone updates synchronize directly with warehouse pick/pack events.

Architecture Contrast

Decoupled E-Commerce vs. Unified Monolith

Why "Same Code" Matters
Traditional Decoupled E-Commerce (SaaS + ERP API)
  • Inventory Drift: Periodic cron syncs (every 5–15 mins) cause overselling during flash sales and high-velocity traffic.
  • Price Tampering Risk: Web carts submit client-calculated totals; ERP recalculations cause rejection or billing surprises.
  • Split Customer Identity: Storefront user records differ from ERP account masters, requiring manual deduplication.
  • Sync Failures & Orphaned Orders: Webhook timeouts leave orders stuck in web queues while payments have already settled.
ModApp Architecture (Single Unified Monolith)
  • Zero-Latency Ledger: Web checkout batch-reserves stock in the warehouse inventory ledger within the same SQL transaction.
  • Zero Client Trust: All pricing, discounts, and regional taxes recompute server-side against live ERP price books.
  • Single Master Record: Shoppers resolve directly into Modules.Partners with unified address books and credit history.
  • Atomic Execution: Orders, warehouse pick tickets, and finance postings are committed atomically via the Transactional Outbox.

Try the Storefront URLs

Every tenant provisioned on ModApp receives its own isolated, fully branded web storefront.

Multi-Tenant Routing

Test the storefront routing with pre-seeded demo tenants like ebuyerhub, sajjad, or your own registered tenant code:

Questions

Straight answers

Is this a hosted service or do I run it myself?

ModApp supports both managed cloud hosting and dedicated infrastructure. ModApp targets SQL Server and is deployed as a high-performance .NET 10 modular application with full multi-tenancy, isolated module schemas, and complete data governance.

Which modules do I get during the trial?

The 13 core modules are always available, because core modules are enabled by platform definition rather than by subscription. The other 17 are per-tenant modules you switch on from the in-app module store.

Do the modules share data, or are they separate systems?

One platform. Each module owns its tables in its own SQL schema behind its own EF Core context, but modules integrate through published domain events and a transactional outbox — so approving a document in one module can post an entry in another.

Does the AI send my data to a third party?

The help centre's retrieval path is on-device: documents are chunked and embedded with a local ONNX model, so answers are retrieved directly from your own corpus inside your deployment with vector similarity search.

What is deliberately not in the platform yet?

We'd rather list the gaps than have you find them in month three. SSO/SAML, SMS notifications, point-in-time database restore and branch-level data isolation are not implemented. Inventory reorder rules report items below threshold; they do not yet raise purchase requisitions or send alerts automatically.
